Three Rivers Museum will host the “God Bless America” Quilts Exhibit — Honoring our Heroes on July 4 to 11. The exhibit contains full-size quilts depicting military themes, quilt tops from The Great Depression, and 40 22-by-22-inch patriotic quilts that pay tribute to our unsung heroes and troops. About two-thirds of the quilts have been created and stitched by Oklahoma people.
Along with the traveling quilt exhibit, Three Rivers Museum will display quilts from its permanent collection, memorabilia and photos of Davis Field, Camp Gruber, Fort Sill and others depicting remembrance of past war battles.
Three Rivers Museum is located at 220 Elgin St. Admission fee is $3 for adults and $1.50 for students. Veterans and members of the Muskogee Girls Scouts are invited to visit the exhibit, July 4-11 at no charge. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday.
