TAHLEQUAH — Investigators with the District 27 District Attorney’s Office are looking into allegations that a woman provided pills and marijuana to her 14-year-old stepdaughter.
A report filed Friday indicates the 14-year-old girl has been interviewed by advocates with Help-In-Crisis, and a DA investigator was present.
The girl reportedly said her stepmother had given her Zoloft without a prescription, and had also given her marijuana.
The girl and her stepmother began to smoke marijuana togetherx. The stepmother would “roll the joint,” while the girl would “break down the buds,” the report indicates. The teenager said they smoked pot together for about a month before the stepmother began providing her with Zoloft.
Investigators said the girl admitted her stepmother had also given her some Xanax. Other family members of the girl became suspicious when her attitude began to change, according to the report.
Last week, investigators conducted a follow-up interview with the girl at the request of the DA’s office, which will be tasked with deciding whether to file charges in the case.
