P.M. UPDATE: Eufaula woman dies from crash-related injuries


— A Eufaula woman has died from injuries sustained in a crash on Tuesday, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Elenar Barber, 79, was pronounced dead Thursday at 5:12 a.m. at Muskogee Regional Medical Center, the report states.

According to the trooper’s report, Barber was injured at approximately 3:10 p.m. Tuesday on a McIntosh County Road three miles north and three miles east of Eufaula. She was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2004 Ford pickup being driven by Shannon Creason, 36, of Checotah. Airbags deployed in both vehicles. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt. Creason refused treatment at the scene, the report states.
