THE PEOPLE SPEAK — Mullin right about sequestration

— I recently read Congressman Markwayne Mullin’s statement about sequestration and I could not agree more with his position.

In my life, I have trimmed my budget in order to cope with rising costs and the new payroll tax. If I can find savings in my checkbook, why can the government not find savings with our tax dollars?

I am grateful we have a leader like Markwayne Mullin in Congress representing our district. As a business owner, he sees the stalemate on reducing the debt and controlling federal spending for what it is — dysfunction and a lack of leadership. Keep fighting, Congressman Mullin!
