THE PEOPLE SPEAK: If you vote for war, vote for consequences

As a wife of a disabled veteran, I say Sen. Tom Coburn is outrageous. 

He is the lone senator blocking a bill to fund aid to veterans. He claims he is doing so because money is not being taken from other programs to pay for it. 

He claims he hasn’t supported any bill that isn’t paid for by taking money from other projects. He is not only not telling the truth, but he is a hypocrite. 

He voted for all of the bills that sent us to war. These wars are not funded by taking money that is already there. 

So let me get this straight — he sends men and women to war to be maimed or killed but is the only senator blocking these same people from getting help for the wounds and trauma they received with his help. 

Shame on you, Coburn.
