THE PEOPLE SPEAK: Cruel person drops kittens along highway

To the person who dropped the kittens off while driving down U.S. 64 — the Davis Field area — I want you to know that they landed on their faces.

They were struggling beside the road, crawling into traffic. With the help of others, we were able to get to them.

They went straight to my veterinarian, Dr. Janet Blake. She is the most caring and wonderful person. She has worked with these kittens and given them their life back.

It takes a very cruel and heartless person to do something like this to something so small and helpless.

I hope you regret what you have done and realize you did something very wrong.
