THE PEOPLE SPEAK — Stop breeding dogs just to have puppies

— How much plainer can it be said than this, quit breeding your dogs just to have puppies.

Do they not get it?

Excuses I’ve heard are you should let them have one litter before you get them spayed. Not! Do they not see all the homeless animals in the shelters, on the street in horrible conditions.

People letting their dogs have puppies and then standing on the street corner peddling them for money or free to anyone without knowing what kind of home the animal will have. Rescuers and animal lovers like myself beat their heads against the wall trying to save them and find homes for all of them. Time, money and heartbreak trying to fix what people who just want to have puppies do.

I could go on and on but it doesn’t fix anything. You can’t fix stupid they say and if you continue to breed your animals just to have puppies, plain & simple, you’re stupid. They deserve better than that.
