THE PEOPLE SPEAK — Support businesses that support troops

— Seeing the news that Walgreens was buying out other pharmacies made me see red!

Earlier this year Walgreens announced it would no longer accept Tricare. For those of you that don’t know, Tricare is what the military personnel, families, retirees, dependents, widows, and widowers use.

Everyone wants to jump on the support your troops bandwagon, well put your money where your mouth is. Accepting Tricare should not be an option for any medical provider of any kind. Ask your provider if they accept Tricare if they don’t ask them why? Not enough money? Excuse me, that bill was paid in much more than money.

See if your doctors and pharmacy will put a sign up that says “We support our troops, we accept Tricare.” This is a problem that needs to be taken care of by Congress but until that happens, public opinion can go a long way. Support businesses that support the troops!

Medical providers are not exempt from social and moral obligations.
