An election is coming up on Aug. 28 to vote on a bond issue to build classrooms at Midway School in Council Hill. The school board voted to close Midway Grade School in Hitchita and move students to Council Hill, thus the need for more classroom space. Good classrooms are standing empty at Hitchita.
If Council Hill doesn’t keep up the enrollment then they will eventually close the school, leaving a debt to be paid by taxpayers. I urge every voter to vote no one this unnecessary bond.
