After reading several stories about Texas wanting to buy water from Oklahoma, I say let it evaporate.
Where do these people get off anyway, offering millions of dollars for water, then spending tens of millions for pipeline construction and right of ways. This state doesn’t need their money.
It’s insult enough that anybody living in southeastern Oklahoma wanting a decent job has to work in Texas. I think those people need to keep their prosperity to themselves.
Smart, dedicated people as they are, they can get water from several other sources. They can buy it from Boone Pickens. He can pump it right out from under the Oklahoma Panhandle and straight to them.
Yes, sir, we need to keep that water right where it is. After all, with so many people without work, or hope for that matter, the more and the bigger the fishing holes the better.
