THE PEOPLE SPEAK – Middle class drives economy

Simple economics shows that the consumer drives the economy. You have 100 families who need a can of beans. Two percent are very wealthy, the remaining 98 percent are middle class. Now do the math, does the two percent drive the economy or does the 98 percent?
