With all due respect to Joyce Rock’s reply (Aug. 15) to my Aug. 13 letter, there is more to Kevin Jenning’s eligibility than what she stated as his qualifications as the U.S. Department of Education assistant deputy secretary of Safe and Drug-free Schools.
Even though Jennings, whom President Obama appointed, has the academic achievements, he was a founder of GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. According to Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, Jennings promotes homosexual activism in schools and created the annual “Day of Silence” campaign, which celebrates homosexuality nationwide.
More information on Jennings is available in his autobiography, “Mama’s Boy, Preacher’s Son,” telling of compelling reasons why he is dangerously unfit to have access to our schoolchildren. Anyone can visit the Web site StopJennings.org to add your name to the growing list of values voters who are telling Obama what they think of his appointment of Jennings.
So far, Obama has appointed more than 60 homosexuals to top level offices. Just consider the impact of their actions as they carry out their duties to oppose traditional family, marriage and Christian values on which our nation was founded.
What we can do is pray for this man and officials like him. We must pray against his and their agenda to protect our children from this inappropriate agenda on our children and on our nation.
