THE PEOPLE SPEAK — Letter wrong about Markwayne Mullin

— I am writing in response to a letter to the editor in the Phoenix that incorrectly said Congressman Markwayne Mullin won’t work with both parties.

I attended a recent town hall meeting by Congressman Mullin in Muskogee. He talked frequently about the need to put partisan politics aside and ask ourselves what is best for the country.

It takes a lot of backbone to stand up to the pressure of party politics in Washington and we know that Congressman Mullin has that backbone and he will put America first, instead of petty politics.

I hope more people will attend the town meetings or take any opportunity to meet Congressman Mullin. It’s great to hear him answer questions. It is very informative. We find Congressman Mullin a breath of fresh air and hope he’s around for a long time.
