THANK YOU 06.16.12

ON JUNE 8 and 9, Muskogee hosted the 2nd round of the AMA Extreme Dirt Track Nationals at Southwest 69 Speedway. Thanks to the vision people like Mayor Bob Coburn and the Muskogee Chamber of Commerce, lead by Treasure McKenzie we were able to draw people from all over the United States to our community. These people all spent money in our hotels, restaurants, shops and Mall which is more importantly “new money” to our economy.

The feed back was overwhelmingly positive from everyone who attended the event and many people said that they would like to come back and visit places like the Batfish, Azalea festival and museums.

The one reoccurring statement that I heard during and after the event was that “people from Muskogee are so friendly!”

Thank you to everyone who made this national event a gigantic success.

Lets all hope that we can attract this event next year as well. Every one in Muskogee should be very proud of the image that was given by our citizens and the leaders of our town. Thank you.

THIS LETTER of thanks is directed to the gentlemen that built a handicap ramp for my mother. The men were from the First Presbyterian Church Ramp Building Committee. They were kind and very courteous to my family. They will be blessed for the service they provided. Again thanks for what you do.

ON BEHALF of McIntosh County Shrine Club, we want to thank all of the merchants, business and individuals who donated in any way to our golf tournament this year. Our fundraiser was a great success and it would not be possible without all of you. All the proceeds raised in the tournament will be given to the Bedouin Shrine Temple for the transportation fund that allows us, as Shriners, to take the burned and crippled Shrine children back and forth to our hospitals. Again, a big thank you.
