I do believe that the city of Muskogee needs change, that the council members have too much power, that the city manager is controlled by City Council members for they hired him.
But I do believe that the city mayor needs more power than what he holds now. Our mayor is trying to make changes with his hands tied and with the City Council members and the manager fighting against him. But if the mayor gets some changes that will start the downfall of the good old boys and give the people the choice.
The City Council has been running this city too long and change will come. If the mayor goes to the people for this change, let’s back him by showing the manager and the City Council that we have more than 1,900 people voting in this city and this will be our word.
