Boys

VINITA 68, WAGONER 63 –
Four players in double figures wasn’t enough to help Wagoner defeat Vinita.

The Bulldogs (9-14) were led by Decarius Clark with a game-high 22 points. Ya’Aquoob King achieved a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Lateze Clayton had 11 points and Jessary Fulbright had 10 points.

Wagoner faces Muldrow in Muldrow at 8 p.m. Friday in the Class 4A Area IV District 7 championship game.

CATOOSA 69, HILLDALE 53 — The Hornets (5-17) trailed 18-6 after the first quarter and 37-16 at halftime in falling in their regular season finale.

Bill Muse, Jr. scored a team-high 13 points while Dylan Rowan had 12 and Hunter Harrison added 11.

Hilldale travels to Inola for the Class 4A districts at 8 p.m. Saturday.

OOLOGAH 42, KEYS 36 — The Cougars (11-11) only scored a combined 12 points in the second and third quarters in the loss.

Peyton Ragsdale and Trevor Eubanks had 13 points each for coach Duane Jones’ squad.

Keys opens districts at home on Saturday night against Salina.



Girls

HILLDALE 59, CATOOSA 45 –
The Lady Hornets used a 25-point second quarter to grab a 19-point lead at halftime and never looked back in Verdigris Valley Conference action.

“We pressured them into some turnovers and some quick shots,” said Hilldale coach Scott Hensley. “We can’t take anyone lightly, especially at this point in the season.”

Hilldale (16-7, 8-4) was led by Hillary Calvert with a game-high 21 points. Katie Kirkhart finished with 15 points while Destiny Riddle poured in 11 points.

The Lady Hornets now get ready for Inola and the Class 4A district championship game at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

VINITA 45, WAGONER 31 – The Lady Bulldogs got to within one point of Vinita with 7:04 left in the third but watched as Vinita pulled away for the win.

Wagoner (3-20) was led by Cherokee Ridge who ended the game with 8 points and four rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs head to Muldrow at 6:30 p.m. Friday for the Class 4A Area IV District 7 championship.

OOLOGAH 43, KEYS 36 – The Lady Cougars couldn’t overcome a hot-shooting third quarter by Oologah in their loss on Monday.

Keys (10-10) saw Sydney Rainbolt as the only player for the Lady Cougars to finish in double figures with 10 points.

Keys plays Salina in Park Hill at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the Class 3A Area III playoffs for the District 2 championship.
