First meeting.

Notes: Wagoner is making its third straight semifinal appearance and sixth under Coach Dale Condict. Wagoner is 3-2 in semifinal games during that stretch, winning the last two…Anadarko is the defending Class 3A champion.



Class 3A quarterfinals

Hilldale at No. 10 Blanchard

Records: Hilldale 11-1, Blanchard 10-1.

Last week: Hilldale 36, Verdigris 23; Blanchard 60, Madill 7.

Notes: Hilldale advances to the quarterfinals for the first time…Hilldale’s 11 wins is a school record…Hornet teams are 0-11 in road playoff games.

 

Stigler at No. 1 Kingfisher

Radio: None

Records: Stigler 10-2, Kingfisher 12-0.

Last week: Stigler 42, Berryhill 21; Kingfisher 35, Tuttle 14.

First meeting.

Notes: Stigler advances to the quarterfinals for the first time since 1965. That was also the last time a Stigler team won a playoff game on the road…Stigler has back to back 10-win seasons for the first time.



Class 2A quarterfinal

No. 3 Hennessey at No. 1 Vian

Radio: None

Records: Hennessey 10-2, Vian 12-0.

Last week: Hennessey 56, Washington 21; Vian 76, Kansas 26.

Last meeting: Hennessey 18, Vian 7 (2011).

Series record: Hennessey leads, 2-0.

Notes: Third time the two have met in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Hennessey won the first meeting in 1986, 28-8…Vian’s 778 points scored is a state record eclipsing the mark of 764 set by Guthrie in 2007…Vian has won 14 straight home games.
