Muskogee High School’s Filo Espinosa earned all-conference honors with a 12th place finish at the Frontier Conference cross country meet in Tulsa on Thursday.
Espinosa ran a time of 17 minutes, 41 seconds on the 5,000-meter course to qualify for the honor by finishing in the top 15.
The Roughers finished seventh in the eight-team meet with 177 points. The Lady Roughers, meanwhile, took eighth with 222 points on the two-mile course. The other Roughers and their finishes included Will Matthews at 33rd (19:22), Dalton Harnage in 37th (19:40), Jachai Maxwell in 47th (20:37) and Joe Andrews in 48th (20:37).
Morgan Springborn was the top finisher for the Lady Roughers in 31st with a time of 14:21. Diana Velasquez was 45th (16:55), Xandrea Maxwell in 46h (16:56), Angelle Wilson in 49th (19:50) and Lillian Thompson in 51st (21:44).
