LOCUST GROVE — Hilldale’s bench made a run, but the hole was too deep as the Hornets fell 58-45 to Locust Grove here Tuesday night.
Hunter Howell had 13 points off the bench, including two 3-pointers in the fourth when the Hornets got within 10 in the fourth. Dylan Rowan had 11.
“Howell and Brad (five points off the bench) gave us a good spark,” Hilldale coach Jeremy Rogers said. “We’re getting good bench production but we’re down 20, 25 and it was too much to cut into.”
Hilldale fell to 2-4, 0-3 in Verdigris Valley Conference action.
The Lady Hornets lost 61-56. No game information was available at press time.
