Fastpitch softball

HILLDALE SWEEPS –
Hilldale pitcher Destiny Riddle finished with seven strikeouts versus Vian and eight against the home team, Stigler. Hilldale beat Vian 12-0 in three innings and then took care of Stigler 7-2. Stigler defeated Vian 9-8.

Riddle (22-3) also had an RBI single for the Lady Hornets (22-5) against Vian and Toni McMillan had a grand slam to lead the offense.

Against Stigler, McKensie Plant and McMillan got the offense rolling with RBI singles in the first that were part of a four-run opening frame.

Riddle gave up one hit against Vian and three versus Stigler.

OKTAHA 8, MULDROW 0 – The Lady Tigers (22-6) both started and finished strong scoring four runs in the first and fifth innings.

Kallee King went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored a run. Kelly Barnes went 2-for-4 from the plate with an RBI and run scored for Oktaha. Madyson Fox picked up the win improving to 22-6.

LIBERTY 8, GORE 1 – The Lady Pirates (5-15) scored their lone run in the final inning on Jade Cearley's first home run of the season.

Mackenzie Steifel (3-7) took the loss while striking out four and giving up eight hits.

GROVE 2, TAHLEQUAH 1 – Grove's Taylor Dodson went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, and the Lady Red capitalized on a crucial Tahlequah fielding error at Lady Tiger Field on Tuesday.

Tahlequah, 24-7 overall and 8-2 in District 5A-3, had only four hits against Grove’s Jessica Walker, none of which came from Tahlequah's heart of the batting order.

TAHLEQUAH 3, SKIATOOK 0 — Tahlequah knocked off Skiatook  25-17, 27-25, 25-17  at the TMAC to claim the Metro Lakes Conference title outright. It’s the first time the Lady Tigers have won the league crown outright.

Casey Beaston had 19 kills, and Morgan Anderson added 13 kills as Tahlequah won its 13th straight match. Cassie Goodnight chipped in with nine kills, Katie Schneider had four aces and Kalie Champlain racked up 29 assists.

Tahlequah is now 19-8 and will host 4A No. 2 Okay on Thursday.

Volleyball

SEQUOYAH 3, CLAREMORE SEQUOYAH 0 – Sequoyah won in straight sets 25-15, 25-20, 25-18 over Claremore Sequoyah.

Britanie Wacoche led the way for Lady Indians, 19-10 and No. 10 in the Class 4A Okrankings.com poll, with seven kills and three aces. Kayli Gonzales added six kills and three aces while Baylee Herrin chipped in four kills and three blocks.
