Dr. Janet Barresi, candidate for Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Education, will be guest speaker at a monthly meeting of the Muskogee County Republican Club at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Muskogee Public Library.
A retired dentist and former educator, Barresi founded Oklahoma’s first charter school, Independence Charter Middle School in Oklahoma City and later, Harding Charter Preparatory High School.
