Don and Paula Foster of Fort Gibson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, with family and friends at a party at Miss Addie’s Pub & Grill. They were married on Nov. 7, 1959, in Lawton.
Don is a former radio-TV newscaster, retired career insurance agent, and is an active mission pilot with the Civil Air Patrol. Paula, a former RN, retired from the Indian Nations Council, Boy Scouts of America and is active with several area quilting groups.
They have four children; Scott and Rebecca Foster of Oklahoma City, Brian Foster of Castle Rock, Colo., John Foster of Owasso, and Bonnie and Bill DeFord of Brighton, Colo.
They have six grandchildren, Blake and Emily Foster; Sam Foster; Joe Foster; and Leo and Sadie DeFord.
