Newly hired Fort Gibson Police officer Jeremy Johnson was dismissed at a special meeting of the Town Board of Trustees last week.
Johnson was fired after an executive session at a meeting Oct. 21.
He had joined the local police department after being hired in a meeting on Oct. 19. Johnson had been a journeyman meat cutter at Homeland since April.
Before that, he was a Muskogee police officer since January 2003.
Johnson had been suspended from the Muskogee position for improper use of sick leave, driving a police car in a reckless and dangerous manner and the improper arrest of a misdemeanor suspect.
He later was dismissed over an incident that happened outside a Tahlequah bar but was reinstated.
