Emmett and Ann Burris will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009.
They were married in Tahlequah in 1959, and have lived in Muskogee most of their married lives.
The Burrises have two children, Butch and Debbie Burris of Fort Gibson, and Annette and Randy Crowder of Muskogee. They have five grandchildren, Misti and Brent Tidwell, Randy and Kristy Crowder, Bradley, Craig and Colby Burris. They have five great grandchildren, Braden, Gracie, Grady, Bryar and Chase; with another one on the way.
Their children and grandchildren are hosting a dinner celebration at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at the American Legion in Fort Gibson.
