The Fort Gibson Board of Trustees renewed Town Administrator Kathryn Carson’s contract and gave her a 3 percent cost of living raise at its meeting Oct. 12.
The renewal is for one year and the raise brings her annual salary to $50,079.13.

Prior to that, she was secretary to the director of housing at Northeastern State University and owned and operated a jewelry store.
As town administrator, Carson supervises all town departments and is in charge of personnel. She makes recommendations for hirings and dismissals to the Town Board of Trustees and prepares the annual budget.
She also oversees the town’s purchasing policy and planning.
