The public is invited to participate in the upcoming Independence Day Tea Party, a family-friendly event to be held at Civitan Park from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. The Tea Party is a gathering place for a new generation of conservative grassroots activists who are committed to effecting positive change in their communities. A variety of speakers, musicians and re-enactors will be on hand to lead this peaceful protest of irresponsible government spending and taxation policies and to encourage citizens to get involved. This is a non-partisan event and open to all patriotic Americans who want to protect their freedoms and futures. Information: www.teapartymuskogee.com or contact Jamison Faught, 869-6000.
