Haddison Bradley, 6, is headed to her first American Kids National Competition.
She qualified in the gospel and specialty categories at the Oklahoma Kids' recent state competition.
In one of her songs, she both sings and signs a song taught this past year by her kindergarten teacher Tracie Wilson.
The American Kids contest will be held the week of July 13-17 in Branson, Mo., at the Baldknobber's Theatre. This is the same competition in which Haddison's older sister, Carrigan Bradley, sang when she was age 8. She now is a performer at the Clay Cooper Theatre in Branson.
Haddison has been singing with the Oklahoma Kids, a little league of entertainers based out of Branson. This group allows children to gain experience, self-esteem and friendships as they grow their musical talents as they perform at local events and festivals. For more information on local Oklahoma Kids events or how to join, go to www.oklahomakids.us
Haddison will be singing at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fort Gibson Corn Festival. She will also be the featured guest artist at Northeastern State University's Downtown Country show at 7:30 p.m. July 30. Tickets are available by calling 458-2075.
Haddison will be singing July 17 for their Lakes Country radio's listener appreciation show.
