Awesome student takes third in ‘An Awesome Contest’

— AlexyKate Schofield, seventh-grader at Fort Gibson Middle School, received a medal and certificate from the 11th annual Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics Middle School Math: An Awesome Contest in Oklahoma City. She earned third place seventh-grade female in Division II.

Two hundred students from 56 schools participated in the final round of the competition, according to a media release. Several students received individual trophies and medals awarded in four divisions. All students received certificates of achievement. The current and previous tests are available on the school’s website www.ossm.edu.
