What’s New at the “Q”? 10.31.12

— At Q.B. Boydstun Library, we are dedicating November as Veteran Appreciation Month. During the month of November, visitors to the library will have an opportunity to make a card to be delivered to veterans at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center. In addition to cards, we are collecting toiletries to give to the patients.

November 2012 is also special because of the election. We are giving kids a chance to “vote” between different book titles. We also have sample ballots for adults to look at before election day.

The Lego Club is going well and will continue throughout the month of November on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-5 p.m. The Lego Club is open to kids of all ages.

Teens are invited to make holiday crafts from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Nov. 6 and 20.

Tuesday evenings in November, a library staff member will be available to demonstrate how to download an ebook from the library website. This is a drop-in event from 5-7 p.m.

The library will be closed on Nov. 12 since Veteran’s Day falls on Sunday this year.

More programs are in the works, so watch for more information. There’s always something new at the “Q”!
