MHS robotics team places in FIRST Tech Challenge qualifier

The Muskogee High School robotics team recently placed in the FIRST Tech Challenge qualifier in Sapulpa. They won the Think Award for the quality of their design process and the Motivate Award for excellence in teaming and community outreach.

The team also placed third overall for the Inspire Award based on being a top competitor in all categories. This qualifies them to compete at state in March at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

They were also honorable mention for the Rockwell Collins and Connect Awards.

Faculty advisors are Willie Price, Jim Fulton, and Janet Lopez, all of MHS, and Cindy Franklin of ICTC. Adult volunteers are Matt Williams and Brent Akin. Robotics and engineering are supported in part by the City of Muskogee Foundation.
