Cast of Music Man announced; tickets now on sale

— Muskogee Little Theatre announced that tickets are on sale for their 2012-2013 season opener, “The Music Man.” Advanced tickets are available at Soundworld, 123 E. Okmulgee Ave., (918) 683-4901. Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for students. MLT has added an additional performance day because of anticipated large audiences. Performances are scheduled for Aug. 2-5 and Aug. 9-11.

“The Music Man” is family entertainment at its best. When fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill comes marching into River City, it means trouble.

The show’s cast of 37 local actors consists of: Travis Dix as Professor Harold Hill; Tawny Easterling as Marion Paroo; Ryan Summerhill as Marcellus Washburn; Randi Williams as Mrs. Paroo; Ben Robinson as Mayor Shinn; Cathy Hayes as Mrs. Shinn; Tannor Morton as Tommy Djilas; Emily Dean as Zanetta Shinn; Ian Williams as Winthrop Paroo; Ali Munzenrider as Amaryllis; Madison Eckerson as Gracie Shinn; Tim Major as Jacey Squires; Chris Gilmartin as Oliver Hix; Lee Griffin as Ewart Dunlop; Steve Slaight as Olin Britt; Dawn Gilmartin as Ethel Toffelmeir; Kay Huffer as Alma Hix; Cathy Spaulding as Maud Dunlop; Lynn Cragg as Mrs. Squires; Frank Godman as Charlie Cowell; Larry Cragg as Constable/Conductor; and Ashtonn Thompson, Trae Havens, Chris Orr, Amber Morton, Rachel Cragg, Lucy Whitaker, Lauren Dean as featured dancers; and Meredith Gilmartin, Grace Lynch, Connor Lynch, Gracie Bottger, Landis Webb, Alexy Kate Schofield, Addy Schofield, Becky Schofield, and Mack Whitaker as ensemble players.

The show is directed by Penny McGill with music directed by Kerry Huffer.
