Dance group wins at competitions

— Lisa Logan, owner/director of Show Biz Dance Studio in Muskogee, recently announced the achievements of one of her groups at recent competitions.

The group known as “Putting On The Ritz” competed in the Large Group Jazz Character Category at Talent On Parade Regional Dance Competition Finals held at Rose State College in Oklahoma City in March. At that competition, the 10-member group won an elite top first place trophy in the Teen Large Group Tap Division.

The group qualified for the National Finals, which were held in June at the Tulsa Convention Center in Tulsa.

At the national level with more than 1,500 acts competing, the group won a high first place trophy in the Large Group Teen Age Division.

In previous years, the group has attended regional and nationals with Stage One Dance Competition, Rainbow Competition and Odyssey Dance Competitions and won first place and “overalls” and cash awards in tap, jazz, lyrical ballet, clog and musical theatre.
