Water of Life Ministries of Plano, Texas will hold a praise and worship service at noon today at the Rainbow Division Memorial Amphitheater at Honor Heights Park.
The service is open to the public and free. Seating is provided.
Doyle Davidson, founder of Water of Life Ministries, was a practicing veterinarian, specializing in equine medicine in McKinney, Texas, when “God told him in 1969 to sell his veterinary practice and hospital and obey him,” according to a media release.
His practice covered the state of Texas, with clients throughout the United States, but in January 1970 he "obeyed God and sold out," according to the media release. That was 42 years ago and today Davidson ministers throughout the world on the internet via Live Stream and Roku, 11 hours daily. Water of Life Ministries is also on 26 radio stations nationwide, broadcasting a one hour program, every Sunday.
From November 2010 to August 2011, the ministry held a monthly praise and worship meeting in the Muskogee Civic Center.
