Eufaula author Jersey C. Shore will sign copies of his book “Rock and Roll: Fun Facts and Trivia,” from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Hasting’s, 2230 E. Shawnee.
Where did Pink Floyd get its name? Or Jefferson Airplane, for that matter? The answers to those questions and many more lace the pages of this compendium of counter-culture facts.
Shore was a spirited sixties rebel and collected the tales on his journey through the golden age of rock and roll, according to a media release.
Shore was born in Glen Ridge, N.J., and was introduced to rock ’n’ roll around 1961 in the post-Elvis era, according to the release. He brought his passion to the radio industry and became considered the “go to” guy for rock and roll trivia. That wealth of the facts he accumulated fills his new book.
The book is published by Outskirts Press, Inc., a publisher that caters to self-publishing authors.
