Kiwanis Club

The Rev. Lance Sawyer, First Baptist Church pastor, will speak when Muskogee Kiwanis Club meets at noon Tuesday at the training center of Muskogee Community Hospital, 2900 N. Main St.

Duplicate Bridge

Three Green Country Duplicate Bridge Club games are offered each week at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding.

Games begin at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There will not be a game on Nov. 27.

• Nov. 16: Jack Harris and Betty Jordan, first; Ruth Sharpe and Bonnie Jennings, second; Jane Lopes and Ann Kent, third.

• Wednesday 299ers game: North/South: Bill and Nettie Kaad, first; Cliff and Sue Callahan, second; Joe and Helen Richmond tied with Sandra Cole and Santa McWilliams for third. East/West: Linda Stearns and Norma Kolmer, first; Janice Chance and Grace Sweeney, second; Troy and Wilma LaFevers, third.

• Nov. 20: Dave Murdock and Bonnie Jennings, first; Jane Lopes and Betty Jordan, second; Ann Kent and Ruth Sharpe, third.

Newcomers are welcome at all games.

Toastmasters

Leon Grace of Wagoner, Advanced Toastmaster Silver, was the Toastmaster for the kickoff meeting held Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church.

Jennfier Sparks, the newest member, was the featured speaker. Toastmaster for next Thursday will be Paulette Lorsbach of Muskogee, Advanced Toastmaster Gold.

Toastmasters meeting gavels at 6 p.m. Thursdays in the recreation hall at Grace Episcopal Church, Sixth and Court streets. Toastmasters offers a friendly environment in which to grow your public speaking, listening and leadership skills. Meetings are free and open to the public.
