Grace Episcopal Church, 218 N. Sixth St., is hosting a buffet and auction from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday as the third in a series of fundraisers for the restoration of its historic downtown church.
Construction will begin in the spring of 2010.
Items to be auctioned will include fine art, silver, estate jewelry, holiday items, and other treasures from the homes of church members.
The church is a diverse caring family of Christians, worshiping in a century-old church, eager to share experience in seeking to know Christ, according to its Web site. It welcomes all who seek worship and fellowship in a caring and accepting Christian community. Members come from many different Christian and social backgrounds; Episcopal and others, traditional and not so, “life-ers” and newcomers. Members cover a wide range of age groups. The hope is to be an accepting home for Christians of all ages and backgrounds, to expand younger membership through invitation and involvement, and to grow lifelong Episcopalians.
Reservation information for the buffet and auction may be obtained by calling the church office, 687-5416, or Dorothy Fite, 687-6589. Information: gracemuskogee.org
