Muskogee Area Branch of Oklahoma Music Teachers’ Association recently sponsored the annual Junior Audition at Muskogee Public Library.
Winners were selected to play on the district conference recitals on Saturday at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
The winner in grades three and four was Jeramy Hunter, student of Nancy Shelton; grades five and six winner was Julia Stizza, student of Debbie Brown; and the winners in grades seven and eight were Rebekah Harlin, student of Nancy Shelton and Esther Salters, student of Debbie Brown.
The alternate in grades three and four was Rachel Throgmorton, student of Nancy Shelton; in grades five and six the alternate was John Raunikar; student of Debbie Brown, and in level seven and eight the alternates were Caitlin Felts and Laura Jardine, both students of Nancy Shelton.
Honorable mentions were given to Madison Mackey, Nathaniel Wadsworth, and Zechariah Wadsworth, all students of Grace Jones.
Other participants in the audition were Camryn Runyan, Rebekah Nitzel, Sara Wilson, Jayden Williams, Brenden Martin, Jacob Adams, Chris Gilmartin, Kalen Russell, Erik Raunikar and Jonathan Hunter.
Teachers participating were Kathy Brod and Debbie Brown of McAlester, and Grace Jones and Nancy Shelton of Muskogee.
