Muskogee Character Council presents Parent University from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Sadler Arts Academy Auditorium. It is open to the public at no charge.
Parent University teaches families how to build a stronger family unit through recognizing, building, and encouraging character.
The seminar can help parents learn:
• Understanding the importance of character in growing our children.
• Ways to praise children for good character.
• How to discipline for character development and not out of anger.
• Ways to build character that helps kids resist pressure to use alcohol, drugs, and negative behavior.
• How to reduce normal family conflicts.
