Ron Pearson, organist and director of music at Tulsa’s First Presbyterian Church, will present a free recital at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2130 W. Okmulgee.
Pearson graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in music in 1972 and received a master’s degree in music from the University of Michigan in 1974.
He has been adjunct instructor of organ at the University of Tulsa since 1980, has served as dean of the Tulsa Chapter of American Guild of Organists during 1979-81 and 2010-12, and performed at three Region VII conventions of the AGO.
The program will consist of works by George Frideric Handel, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, Egil Hovland and Albert Travis.
