Soul Food Cookoff weekend kicks off

The kickoff to the 2013 Soul Food Cookoff weekend starts this week.

The documentary “Soul Food Junkies” will air at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Roxy Theater. The cost is $5.

Also on tap this week is Rhythm and Blues Yearbook at 7 p.m. Friday at the Roxy. The cookoff starts at noon Saturday. A Gospel Explosion concert is 6 p.m. Sunday at the Roxy.
