“The Fantastics” is a story of two parents, one with a son and one with a daughter, and how they try to get them involved in a romance.
It will be presented by The Thespaulians at 7:30 p.m. April 16 and 17, and 2:30 p.m. April 19 at St. Paul United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
They set out to hire a mysterious person to help them with their idea and that is when the plot begins to unfold into an exciting and intriguing musical adventure.
The production is directed by Martin Bebb, a veteran actor, musician an director of musical shows at Muskogee Little Theatre. His wife, Ineta Bebb, is the musical director and is well known for her work, too, at MLT as well as many musical events in Muskogee. The producer is Wayne Felts, who has worked in many theater productions in the past as well as acting and singing.
The actors are Ken Beard playing El Gallo, sing such songs as “Try to Remember.” he parents are played by Susan Asquith and Betsy Kennedy. The girl and boy are played Kyra Kennedy and Ben Luton, who just finished the musical production at Muskogee High School, “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” To complete the cast is Roger Davis and Lee Griffin as Mortimer and Henry.
The Thespaulians theatrical group was formed to bring interesting productions to the church and to raise funds to help areas of need. This production will help refurbish the gymnasium.
