Duplicate bridge games are offered each week at the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding Blvd. Newcomers and visitors are welcome at all games.

Fort Gibson Unit 20 American Legion Auxiliary
The Fort Gibson Unit 20 American Legion Auxiliary is hosting a bean dinner for Frank Gladd Post 20 Legion members and families at 6 p.m. Monday, at the Legion Building.
Legion members and Auxiliary members as well as their families are invited.
Following the dinner will be a flag disposal ceremony at the Robert Langston Memorial Park. The public is invited to attend this distinguished flag ceremony.

Beta Sigma Phi
Omicron Eta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met in the home of Alice Lowe for the November meeting.
Special guest, Martha Tuteral, presented the program by giving a book review of “Where Courage Is Like A Wild Horse,” by Sharon (Lakco) Skolnick and her husband, Manny Skolick. This is a true story of a young Apache girl, Okee Chee, who was an orphan living at the Murrow Home on the Bacone College campus in the year 1953. Tuteral’s presentation was filled with history of Bacone College and the world famous artists, Dr. Richard West, who was teaching there at that time. As well as, all the history about the Murrow Home and the world of an Indian Orphanage.
After the book review Pat Lee, president, called the business meeting to order with the Opening Ritual. Charlotte Watkins, secretary, read the minutes of the last meeting and the treasurer’s report was presented by Laura Roets. All chairpersons gave their monthly reports and the meeting adjourned with the Closing Ritual.
The Threads of Friendship was presented to Alice Lowe from Dolores Seward. The Friendship Basket for the month of October was awarded to Ivy Slader. The Friendship Basket for the month of November was awarded to Diane Rounds.
The November social will be a jewelry party in the home of Imogene Flusche. Donna Clark, communications chairperson, will contact each member with any information regarding the social and the December meeting and Christmas social to be held in the home of Pat Lee.
