A free “Pause for Parenting” hour will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today in the conference room at Muskogee Public Library.
Tonya James, M.S., C.C.P.S., child development specialist at Muskogee County Health Department, will provide the consultation. James can offer advice on issues related to children from birth to 6 years.
Examples of topics include: discipline, ages and stages, temper tantrums, sibling rivalry, toilet learning, separation anxiety, biting, picky eaters, and self-esteem. People are welcome to come for all or part of the scheduled time to ask their parenting questions.
James is at the Muskogee Public Library on the first Tuesday of each month during these hours to meet with those interested.
