The United States Achievement Academy announced that Alex A. Woodard of Muskogee has been named an All-American Scholar at-large award winner. He is a student at Muskogee 7th and 8th Grade Center.
The academy selects USAA winners upon the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches, counselors and other qualified sponsors and upon the Standards of Selections set forth by the Academy. The criteria for selection are a student's grade-point average, student achievements and a well-balanced schedule of academics and extracurricular activities.
Woodard is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Raymond Woodard Sr., of Muskogee; and grandson of Velma Brown and the late Lonnie Brown Sr., of Muskogee.
