TULSA — Native American artists from around the country will return to Cherokee Casino Resort for the second annual Cherokee Art Market, Oct. 12 to 14.

The cultural event includes a lavish kick-off gala, and art show and sale featuring native artwork created by 200 Native American artists. The Cherokee Art Market strives to be the premier venue for Native American art.

This dynamic, event-filled weekend kicks off Oct. 12 with the Gala Art Reception. Prize money totaling $75,000 will be awarded to winning artists of the juried art competition, which is judged by a distinguished panel of Native American art and history experts. Native American artists are encouraged to enter the competition.

Last year’s inaugural Cherokee Art Market was a success with more than 2,000 guests and nearly 200 elite Native American artists.
