Eufaula Art Walk and Car Show zips in Oct. 1

Eufaula Art Walk and Car Show is on Oct. 1, hosted by Eufaula Area Arts Council for the sixth year.

Artists are selected to entertain and educate the public. Pat Moss of Tahlequah will bring his harmonica to play some blues. Clark Davis, local DJ, will charm the car show people at Posey Park in the white pavilion.

Eufaula Chamber of Commerce has provided live radio coverage with Mike Rogers. Nelson Harjo of Okmulgee will bring his Native American flute sounds. Crawford Dozier if Oklahoma City, a poet and musician will be on hand.

Another educational artist responsible for mini workshops are:

• Kristi Ming Tan of Oklahoma City, watercolor painter and origami artist.

• Jon Tiger of Eufaula will be demonstrating his painting style.

• Glenna McBride, local printmaker, will have a relief print and stamp presentation.

• Lynn Melton of Nobel will be back to show how to create a caricature.

Other activities available for the pubic are the dice run and face painting. The dice run is being held at local businesses in Eufaula. Face painting will be at Eufaula’s Main Street Studio and is being sponsored by Quinton High School art students. There also will be event T-shirts.

This event is created with the assistance of the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. There are many businesses and patrons of the arts who also help make this event possible.
