A ceremony for the erection of a new church steeple will take place at 9 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3008 E. Hancock St.
The cranes lifting the steeple will be in place at 8 a.m. A potluck brunch will follow the ceremony.
