Plumb Theatre celebration continues Friday, Saturday

— Week three of Plumb Theatre’s “10th Year Celebration” features two more shows this weekend. Muskogee’s own Jody Green and Crystal River will be the featured gospel music singers Friday night.

Crystal River members are Jody Green on lead guitar, Cookie Eller on keyboard, Stan Gray and G.C. Moore both playing rhythm guitars, and Herb Battenfield on bass. Crystal River features several singing members: Jody, Cookie, Stan, and G.C. singing various numbers. This gospel music singing group tours annually into Indiana, singing in various churches and other events.

Special performers from all over Eastern Oklahoma will be at the Plumb Theatre Saturday night performing a tribute show to many country music greats. “Connie Smith,” “Ricky Skaggs,” “George Strait,” “George Jones” and lots of other “stars” will perform. “Minnie” also may perform. “Jerry Berry,” aka Jerry Weeks will be performing “Johnny B. Goode,” Janee Pottridge from Poteau with be performing one of the “Star” characters, and Paul Maloy, will be performing some Elvis Presley favorites, too.

There’s no charge for the Friday night show. The Saturday night show is $5. Both shows begin at 7 p.m., with the doors opening at 6. Plumb Theatre is located 5 1/2 miles East of Eufaula on Oklahoma 9 East. The theatre is family friendly with no smoking and no alcohol allowed on the premises.
