Some local elementary and middle schools received cases of paper supplies donated by Georgia-Pacific in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Area principals praised GP for its generosity.
“We just appreciate GP for their continued support of Hilldale Public Schools,” Kair Ridenhour, elementary principal, said in a media release.
Middle School Principal Darrin Riddle agreed.
“The way the economy is right now, any donations the schools receive are appreciated,” Riddle said in the release.
Office paper, paper towels and facial tissue were provided to a total of 21 elementary and middle schools in Muskogee and neighboring towns by GP employee volunteers.
“Dr. King believed that by helping others, we all could help create a better world,” Rodney Bond, Muskogee vice president and mill manager said in a media release. “And Georgia-Pacific employees fulfilled this message in honor of Dr. King’s birthday.”
