Les Gilliam, called the “Oklahoma balladeer,” will perform at 7 p.m. Aug. 14 at The Roxy Theater.
It was recently announced that Gilliam will be inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Muskogee Civic Center.
He is a singer, songwriter and recording artist based in Ponca City who entertains as a solo act with his guitar, with his trio or with The Silver Lake Band.
Gilliam’s concerts of cowboy, western swing, country and gospel music include stories about the songs and the artists who performed them. His country dances feature western swing music and activities for the audience. He includes original songs and humorous material, adding a touch of nostalgia and good old fashion patriotism, according to a media release.
Tickets are on sale for $15.
